Jamie is one of the original live painters of this generation, painting events since 2013 in venues up and down the East Coast including the Columbia Museum of Art, the Corley Mill House, the U.S. Supreme Court Building in DC and many other fine venues.

Jamie has been painting portraits professionally since 2003 and has an uncanny ability to capture people’s spirit and likeness. As a former U.S. Air Force officer, she brings operational efficiency and professionalism to her painting experiences.

Guests will enjoy chatting with her as they watch the day’s celebration come alive on her canvas.

What makes her paintings unique? Jamie perspective is defined by expressive brushstrokes and texture, but at the same time is accurate in light and structure. Each painting starts traditionally from life, a direct interpretation through her eyes to hand and onto the canvas. She uses photos only as references for likenesses. Her paintings do not look like photographs. She produces an heirloom that is capable of transporting you back to that moment.

Pricing below is for events in the greater Columbia, S.C. area. Travel fees may apply for events more than 20 miles from downtown. I am currently accepting limited out-of-state events. Please inquire early.

1. The Portrait

24 × 30 inch Live Oil Painting

The Portrait works well to capture the intimacy of your event.

Up to 2 guests in a portrait-like finish are included as well as many guests in an impressionistic style.

Up to 4 hours on site painting and approximately 30 hours of studio detail is included.

This size is best for focusing on one or two people with other painted in an impressionistic manner, if included.

2. The Scene

24 x 36 inch Live Oil Painting

The Scene works well to capture the grandeur of your event space and carefully planned decor.

Up to 12 guests in a portrait-like finish are included as well as many additional guests in an impressionistic style.

Up to 6 hours on site painting and approximately 36 hours of studio detail is included.

This size is very versatile and has the presence to hang on a larger wall or to fill a smaller one.

3. The Statement

30x40 inch Live Oil Painting

The Statement’s size gives your imagination the space to play and room to tell the story of your day.

Include all of the elements of your celebration that made it characteristically your celebration such as your fifty closest friends, an ornate ballroom, a sweeping vineyard view or we can make it a grand portrait of 2-4 people with .

This piece will make a statement in any room. It works well above a mantel, a piano, couch or bed and will keep you coming back to find new details for years to come.

4. The Mural

36×48 inch Live Oil Painting

The Mural is an awe-inspiring, museum-style painting that is packed with detail and movement.

Up to 8 hours on site and unlimited studio time.

This piece is made to tell a story and live in a grand space such as a foyer, formal living room or board room.

For me…the bigger the better is what I always say. I love to paint big because it allows room for more of those beautiful textures while keeping accuracy at the forefront. I understand not all walls or budgets can handle large works and I give every painting the same amount of love.
